Christkindlmarkt

Hahndorf Christkindlmarkt is a European-style Christmas Market based in the German town of Hahndorf organised and run by C3 Church Adelaide Hills. It captures the essence of community, celebration, fun, laughter & family enjoying time together, such as is found in many cities in Europe over the Christmas period, but in a warm aussie setting.

The idea was birthed out of Ps Bruce & Julie Williams family holiday to Europe in 2010! Being inspired by the Spirit of Christmas they experienced, they decided that their beloved hometown of Hahndorf needed a community revival – especially around Christmas! With that in mind, and the support and talent of C3 Church Adelaide Hill’s Volunteers – Hahndorf Christkindlmarkt was born! In 2013 the inaugural event saw over 7000 people visit from all across the community – to the most recent market in 2015 having over 25,000 people come through!

The feedback C3 Church has received from the local community and traders has been overwhelming – with the highlight for many people being the friendly volunteers they experienced!
