We started in 1995…

C3 Church Adelaide Hills began as Adelaide Hills Christian Community Church on 3rd Dec 1995 with a congregation of 23 people, meeting in the music room at Nairne Primary School & beginning a year of probation with Christian City Church. Pastors Bruce & Julie Williams were the founding Ministers. Within 6 months the church shifted to the Soldier’s Memorial Hall in the Main St of Nairne, which we made our home every Sunday for 8 years, leasing an Office further along the Main Street & at the end of our time in Nairne, the old Catholic Church next door for Children’s Church & mid-week meetings.

In March 2004, CCC Adelaide Hills Inc. bought a building that housed a chocolate factory in the Main St of Hahndorf & after 10 weeks of gutting and renovating we moved in to our first permanent home. Each year there have been further additions or changes to becoming the beautiful facility that you find now.

Our congregation is a group of enthusiastic people who love God and love living an abundant life. The largest demographic consists of young families with children from babies to young adults. We therefore have a fantastic children’s program together with youth and young adult ministries, connect groups, and numerous social and interest groups. We love vibrant and passionate worship and moving in the Spirit, but especially desire to see people give their lives to Christ.

Our Founding Pastors
Ps Bruce & Julie Williams

Ps Bruce and Julie Williams are the founding pastors of C3 Church Adelaide Hills and have given their lives to seeing people come to know God and grow in their faith. Raised in Christian homes, both Bruce and Julie made personal decisions to follow Jesus as teenagers. They were married in 1979 and, in 1983, experienced a significant encounter with the Holy Spirit that shaped the direction of their lives and ministry.

This journey led them into full-time ministry and the planting of C3 Church Adelaide Hills in December 1995. From the beginning, Bruce and Julie carried a strong love for the local church and a clear conviction about its importance in the life of the community.

Having experienced the love, power and faithfulness of God firsthand, they have spent their lives sharing that message with others. Their heart was to build a church where people could find healing, restoration, acceptance and belonging through a genuine relationship with Jesus, and a church where people could worship, serve, grow in community and give generously.

“The love of God amazes us. So many people are wandering through life aimlessly, and it is our belief that God has a dream and destiny for each of us that can be discovered and pursued.”

After 30 years of leadership, Ps Bruce and Julie retired from their roles as Senior Ministers of C3 Church Adelaide Hills. They continue to serve the church in Hahndorf and remain active in using their gifts to support and encourage others in ministry, both in Australia and overseas,
